If you still see constant 0V at pin 9 then your wiring is wrong and you are shorting out the pin. The truth is, though, we were not really writing analog voltages, we were just simulating analog voltages using pulse width modulation (PWM). Try a basic analogWrite(9,255), just that. They don't all have the same PWM pins but on most I can think of pin 9 is o.k. When I analogWrite (6,0) and analogWrite (7,100) I get 0vdc between 6 and 7. If you are working with analogWrite in Arduino then you wouldnt want to write the number from 0-255 for taking analog voltages sometimes. I use the L298N H bridge to control the dc motors, it has transistors. Arduino Analog Output pins do not generate a true analog output in the sense that. The Arduino can only provide 40mA from an output pin and I can't think of any motor that would be sufficient to drive. How to create Analog Output using only digital pins with analogWrite. Unless it's powered separately and the Arduino PWM is controlling it through a transistor of some sort, it is no surprise that it isn't working. ![]()
